Let me introduce myself. I'm a engineer by a  electrical installation company for the house building sector. So I have drawing experience with the use of AutoCad, which comes in handy for designing aero planes. And I can use the plotter ad work for the different drawings.

I started the flying hobby when I was about 12 years old. My father build the planes and I flew them ad a club. I took some lessons before I could fly. It is pretty difficult if you have no experience with model aero planes. The chance that you learn yourself flying is very small. I stopped the hobby after some years.

When I saw the new technology I came again interested. So I started to read the model magazines and saw on the internet the use of Depron. Then I new, this is it. It's a great material to make your own creations, so that you are now longer dependent of the manufacturers. For example if you don't have enough space for the battery's just build a little bigger fuselage. Or if you can't reach the center of gravity just adjust the length of the fuselage. If you use the most common dimensions for the space between the wing and elevator etc. it usually fly's. Some times better than the other time, but you learn the difference between the dimensions. They fly better after building a few different aero planes.

If you are new ad the hobby be sure to go to a club near you for instructions and flying lessons. You can use the experience from the pilots there so the change for a successful flight is no problem.

The latest discussion in the Netherlands is a model aero plane below the 500 gram limit  a toy or not? The law is not unambiguous in this. So I will explain the problem. If it is a toy you can fly any ware (safety first off course). Even in the park (that's why they are called Park Flyers?) and not just by a club. Yes I fly not by a club, but by a farmers field. Off course with his permission. So decide for your self but keep the safety in mind and check your insurance if you are insured for this.

If you decided to make one of mine planes I would like to know how the results are and maybe you have some improvements for me? I wish everyone much building and flying fun.
