PC Power Supply
I needed a stabilized power supply for my 12Vdc battery charger, but I
didn't want to buy a expensive new one. I read in a Dutch forum how to
transform a pc power supply for use in the hobby.

It's important to
charge the 5Vdc output with a 12V 20W burner light. If not the 12Vdc output can't deliver the stabilized Amps. Always
unplug it from the 230Vac before you start building. So
disconnect al the PC plugs from the power supply and collect al the 0, 5 and 12Vdc wires. Don't
cut one away because this decreases the diameter of the total wire for the
new output plugs. I have placed my light in front of the ventilator so
it can cool.

If you need a lot of Amps use the newer PC's power supply's.
You can buy a power supply very cheap. I don't have a electronic education so if I can do it...
Succes but remember NEVER work on it while you still have 230Vac
connected.
